Kevin Cantrell is an American designer, lettering artist, type designer, and creative director best known for his refined typographic work and richly detailed brand identities. After earning a BFA in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University in 2008, he founded Kevin Cantrell Studio, where he has built a reputation for combining classical craftsmanship with contemporary design. His work spans branding, custom lettering, packaging, editorial design, and typeface development, with clients including Nike, Princeton University, National Geographic, UNICEF, the Academy Awards, and the U.S. Postal Service. In 2023, he expanded his practice by launching Cantrell Type, a type foundry dedicated to creating timeless, contemporary typefaces.

Cantrell's work has received widespread recognition from leading design organizations, including Communication Arts, Graphis, the Type Directors Club, and The One Show. He was named one of Print magazine's "20 Under 30 New Visual Artists" in 2014, earned an ADC Young Guns honor, and has received multiple awards for excellence in typography.
